🎁 Skoda Octavia Dsg Gearbox Problems

Hi Got a bit of a problem. Car is a month old Octavia vRS tdi with dsg gearbox. Whilst driving in heavy stop/start traffic in London the other day, gear indicator on maxi-dot started to flash between D & N, when I stopped at the next set of lights gear display went to N. Had only been driving DSG gearboxes are common across a multitude of VAG Group cars and light commercials. Whether you drive a VW or a Skoda, an Audi or a Seat, the problems and the solutions are pretty much the same… for us, some gearboxes are simply easier to get in and out of than others. I had a 2014 Fabia 1.2tsi DSG and never had any hesitation or problems with it (since changed for a Yeti, which has the 110 engine version), no problems with Yeti either. We also have a 2012 roomster with 1.2tsi DSG, that needed fixing (under warranty) about 2.5 years into life (but its well documented that 2012 versions had problems), not had Mornin' all Had a strange 'event' yesterday. Octavia fitted with DSG box, 2006, 38000 miles, serviced last month by local Skoda dealership. Driving along, 40 m.p.h., five miles or so from home and sudenly lost traction. Dealer seems flummoxed put politely. Driving along straight road at 60 and all of a sudden the D7 symbol changes to flashing spanner. Re: Skoda Laura DSG Problems!! @v-16- I asked my mechanic who is a skoda expert, according to him it's a oil problem or gearbox itself and nothing to do with ecu. It is generally fitted to smaller engines (petrol and diesel). DQ250 has 6 speeds, higher torque limit and TT54e6j.
